Everyone can help someone in distress, with the newest Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF)’s interactive programmes for fire safety and Civil Defence (CD) emergency tips.

The cover story of SCDF’s online magazine Rescue 995 showcases the latest technology and information SCDF has harnessed to cater to a wider and more tech-savvy audience.

The newest edition of the CD Emergency Handbook now includes comprehensive first-aid tips and disaster survival skills.

For those on the go, the Fire Safety iPhone or iPad app is handy for those who need interactive and step-by-step animation and videos of emergency procedures.

An animated cartoon on fire safety, produced by a group of Interactive and Digital Media final year students from Nanyang Polytechnic, was also featured. Available on SCDF’s YouTube channel, the site also contains many informative CD videos.
